It is said that Lingzhi may help the woman who has difficulty in getting pregnant, or who has had habitual miscarriage before. Prof. Kanata of Tohoku University believes that taking Lingzhi can improve sexual drive of both the male and female, intensifying the activity of spermatozoa and regulating ovulation of the female.

Of course not. Lingzhi is considered an "efficacious drug" improving overall health and vitality. It is non-toxic, and long-term consumption does not result in any side effects. Not only does long-term use of Lingzhi not cause any ill effects, in fact it leaves the taker relaxed in body and mind, enhances physical strength, delays aging, and prolongs life. According to the results of animal research, no ill effects result from either of consumption of large quantities in a short period of time or from long-term use (pregnant animals and their offspring likewise experienced no detrimental effects).
"Shuang Hor Supreme Lingzhi" has received certification as a health food offering "liver protection" and "immunity" benefits by the Department of Health (DOH) of the ROC. The Shuang Hor had to provide 14 documents, close to 1,000 pages of data, and verification of efficacy and toxicity tests to receive this certification. It can therefore be stated with assurance that Lingzhi has neither toxicity nor adverse side effects. The following is a summary of the conditions that had to be met to obtain "health food" certification:

A. Documents and data attesting to the following eight items:
1. Variety and source of raw material; specifications and composition tables for good raw
materials.

2. Good manufacturing equipment and operating standards (including extraction and
concentration equipment, overall manufacturing processes, and strict sanitation and quality
control measures).

3. Assessment reports on health effects of constituents and testing
methods.

4. Health effect and stability test report.

5. Product sanitation and specification inspection report.

6. Nutritional analysis report.

7. The product must be subjected to strict toxicity assessment tests developed by several
dozen specialists for the government (test items include sub-acute oral toxicity, 28-day
consumption toxicity, and genetic toxicity). Test report data must confirm that the product
passed all items (tests must be performed by an authoritative GLP laboratory).

8. The product must be subjected to a series of functionality tests containing 14 items jointly
drawn up by the laboratory's specialists (There must be a normal control group, a liver
injury group, a therapy control group, and test groups. For results to be statistically
significant, there must be at least a different of P<0.05 between test groups receiving
different doses and other groups.). These tests must also be administered by an
authoritative GLP laboratory.

B. A health food review committee reviewed the results of safety assessment and efficacy
tests respectively directing against the seventh and the eighth items above. The DOH
invited more than ten specialists in the fields of medicine, pharmacology, and nutrition to
perform a careful assessment of test results concerning safety, toxicity, liver protection
and immune-strengthening benefits. Whether or not the product passed was then
decided at a subsequent evaluation conference.

C. After passing, the National Laboratories of Foods and Drugs, DOH, tested the product's
main constituents. D. The DOH performed another assessment of all review results
before approving "health food" license and number.

These information is referer to pure lingzhi.
